Transactions
Transactions are the core of Tilelytix. Each one is income, an expense or an investment, with an amount, date, category and optional note. The Manual Transactions tile lists the ones you enter by hand: anything that is not recorded automatically by an integration such as WHMCS, Paymenter or Razorpay.
- Add one with New Transaction on the dashboard.
- Click any row in Manual Transactions to see its details, edit it, delete it, or turn it into a recurring cost.
- Notes on transactions are encrypted at rest.
- You can export transactions to CSV if you have permission.
Expenses that repeat
When you add an expense, the Recurring field says how it counts:
- One-off: counted once, on its date.
- Repeats: this entry starts a new recurring cost (named after its category) and is its first payment. From then on the recurring cost is counted on every billing date, and this entry is not counted again.
- A payment of an existing recurring cost: the entry is listed, but counted through that cost's billing dates, never twice.
If a one-off expense looks like a payment a recurring cost already counts (the same name, or the same amount within a few days of a billing date), Tilelytix asks before saving. You choose: count it as that cost's payment, keep it as a separate expense, or go back. Nothing is linked without you choosing it.
Entries linked to a recurring cost are marked in the tile (First payment or Recurring) and carry the cost's name. Edit one to unlink it, link it to a different cost, or (for a first payment) change the cost's start date and first price along with it. See Recurring costs.
