Tile SDK Overview

A tile is a small web widget that runs inside a sandboxed frame on an organization's dashboard. You write a manifest, a script and optionally a stylesheet. You do not host anything. Tilelytix stores and serves your tile.

How it fits together

  • Your script talks to Tilelytix only through the tlx bridge (API).
  • Outside services are called through connectors, which keep credentials on the server.
  • Every submission is checked automatically and reviewed by a person before it can be installed.

Getting started

  1. Read The Manifest.
  2. Build against the tlx API.
  3. Validate locally with the SDK's validate tool.
  4. Submit from the Developer tab of your Account Center. See Submitting a tile.

Tiles are created by people, not organizations: your Developer tab is in your own account, and tiles you create are yours, with a permanent UID.
