Updates and versions

An update is an explicit action. In the Developer tab choose Update one of my tiles, pick the tile, and upload the new files. The update is tied to the tile's UID, whatever the manifest's id or name now says, and only the tile's creator can submit one.

When it is approved, every organization that has your tile installed runs the new version on its next dashboard load and is notified. If your update asks for new permissions, organizations are told exactly which ones and choose whether to accept them.

Version numbers must be unique per tile.

Rolling back a version

Every tile in the Developer tab lists its versions. Make current switches every dashboard back to an earlier approved version, and you can switch forward again later. Delete removes a version for good (type its number to confirm) and frees the number, so if you submitted the wrong files you can submit corrected ones with the same version. Deleting the live version switches to the newest one left; a tile's only version can't be deleted.
