How plans work

A plan belongs to you, not to an organization

When you buy a plan, it is owned by you. You then attach it to organizations you create. The number of organizations it can run is its slot count. A plan with three slots can run three organizations at the same time.

Attaching

  • A plan is attached when you create an organization. You pick which of your plans to use.
  • An organization stays on its plan while that plan runs. Renewing, upgrading or changing the plan keeps the same organizations on it.
  • When a plan has ended, its organizations can move to another of your plans: choose Cover this organization on a plan with a free slot.
  • You can own several plans and attach different organizations to different ones.

Limits and features

Each plan sets limits (team members and marketplace tiles per organization) and features. A limit only stops you adding more: nothing you already have is removed if you are over it. See Plan limits and the free trial.

Terms

Each purchase adds a term of the plan's duration. Terms line up one after another, so buying a renewal never wastes time you have already paid for. A plan bought during a free trial starts when the trial ends. You can see every term of every plan under Account Center, Billing, Plans.

Joining an organization does not need a plan

Anyone can be invited into an organization. Only the organization needs a plan.
